Rasa and Purusha:  The Essence of Using Plants to Heal

Rasa means “juice, taste or essence.” For millennia, our ancestors lived with an intimate knowledge of the the essence of plants and how they could enhance health and well-being. Taste, energy and effect of each plant was well known, and matched to individual conditions and needs.
In this workshop, you’ll use your mind, body and  senses to connect your essence, Purusha, with Rasa, the essence of herbs.  You’ll learn how this knowledge can help you improve wellness in mind, body and spirit. You’ll explore the unique personality of simple and commonly available herbs-some of which you probably have in your kitchen right now–and learn a few simple herbal preparations to enhance mind, body and spirit.
